James Emmett is Owner/Founder of James Emmett & Company (www.jamesemmettandcompany.com) that provides disability inclusion services to major companies. James was born with a physical disability & benefited from the amazing support of family and friends growing up in the town of Valders, Wisconsin. He learned early on that when supports are in place and expectations are set high, people with disabilities thrive on exceeding their goals. James is the parent of 2 daughters with intellectual disabilities. He is an internationally renowned expert in the field of disability inclusion and has worked in the field for over 30 years. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a B.A. in Psychology and from the Illinois Institute of Technology with an M.S. in Rehabilitation Counseling.
The James Emmett brand is one of the most recognizable in the field of disability inclusion. James has worked on many of the most visible disability inclusion initiatives in the country with companies like Walgreens, Best Buy, Office Depot/Max, PepsiCo, and Mercy Health. James also serves as lead consultant for TIAA's award-winning "Fruits of Employment" initiative. James is currently the Lead Strategist of the Workplace Initiative (www.workplaceinitiative.org) for the Poses Family Foundation, where he helps oversee strategy development & implementation of projects that impact the field of disability inclusion. James’ career vision is to forever change the business and disability communities by helping hundreds of companies create disability inclusion brands.
